RESIDENTS are invited to take part in a final consultation on the borough’s core strategy after modifications were made to initial plans.

The strategy sets out development in the borough until 2028, including how many new houses the area needs and where they should be built, and affordable housing and economic growth.

Terry Hill, chairman of Ribble Valley Borough Council’s planning and development committee, said: “This is the last piece of the jigsaw in the borough’s core strategy.

“This has been a long and involved process, and I appreciate the frustration of residentsl.”

Residents can comment by email to posthearings@ribblevalley.gov.uk or by writing to Forward Planning Team, Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 2RA.

Comments are invited on the modifications and background papers only.

The deadline is 5pm on Monday, July 7, further details are available from the council’s Forward Planning Team on 01200 425111.
