A BUMPER procession is planned for this year’s Bacup and Stacksteads Carnival after organisers revealed more details for the event.
The parade will leave Burnley Road, Bacup, at 11.15am on Sunday and snake through the town centre and down Market Street until it reaches Stubbylee and Moorlands parks.
Events, stalls, displays and a fun fair will be held there until 4pm, with live music and dance also on offer.
Parade co-ordinator Jackie Oakes said: “We have had a terrific response in recent weeks to our appeal for more participants and we are delighted to now have four schools taking part along with the many other groups including Todmorden Brass Band and lion dancers.
“I am also hoping that many people will come out and watch the procession.”
