COMMUNITY minded pupils have taken part in a day of action to help improve their neighbourhood.
The students from year eight at Park High School, Colne, took part in ‘Park Action Day’ which saw the youngsters litter picking and packing bags at the supermarket.
Others visited local nursing homes, Favourdale, Peel Gardens and The Grange taking in cup cakes and talking to residents about how the town once was.
The children were rewarded with a free ice cream from McDonalds, who also sent a memebr of staff along to help with the litter pick.
