A PRIMARY school in Accrington has warned parents not to upload sports day snaps of other children to social networking sites.
Peel Park Primary School, in Alice Street, issued the notice in its latest newsletter, with a spokeswoman saying it was for safeguarding purposes.
It said: “If cameras are used, photographs can be taken of their child only and not published on any social networking sites.”
Weather dependant, the sports day will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 9.30pm for foundation and key stage one, and from 1.15pm for key stage two.
If the weather is poor, it will be held the following day.
The school said: “Please make sure that your child has a water bottle and that you have applied sun cream and provided a hat.”
Parents wishing to attend must collect a ticket from the school.
