A 53-year-old man appeared before Burnley magistrates, accused of fraud by false representation.
Gerard Anthony Cox, of Ringstone Crescent, Nelson, denied dishonestly making a false representation by using a false Irish driving licence in an attempt to obtain a UK licence.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place between November and December last year.
Cox is facing trial on August 14.
