AN amateur football club from Pendle is set to benefit from a county council grant.
Barnoldswick Town United, which was formed in 2012, will receive £131.94 from County Coun David Whipp.
Coun Whipp, for West Craven, considered and approved a local member grant towards the cost of six match-standard Mitre Manto footballs.
In his application, the club’s secretary and coach, John Heaton, said: “The club needs to keep updating and replacing the equipment to maintain standards and comply with the requirements of the League.”
