Walk the Road to Nab End
A GUIDED walk though Blackburn based on a best selling book set in the town returns this weekend.
Tour guide and local historian Simon Entwistle has organised Nab End tours based on the book The Walk To Nab End, by William Woodruff. It will begin from Blackburn Boulevard from 10.30am on Saturday.
Simon said: “This outstanding Blackburn author and his work led to the tour. The book gripped me. It was the story of Woodruff’s childhood experiences throughout the great depression.
“Nab End was a huge block with 86 families living together and sharing one toilet.”
