A CONTROVERSIAL housing plan for the Ribble Valley is set to be resubmitted to the government following modifications.
Ribble Valley Council’s Core Strategy was approved by councillors on Thursday following the adoption of a series of recommendations from the Planning Inspectorate. Among the changes to the plan is an increase in the annual housing allowance from 250 to 280. Work on the council’s Core Strategy first began more than three years ago, and it was rejected by the Planning Inspectorate in 2012, but was resubmitted last year.
A series of modifications were called for by the government.
