Warning letters for irresponsible drivers
IRRESPONSIBLE motorists caught during spot checks in the borough will receive warning letters.
Volunteers from Community Road Watch, and local police officers, were recently deployed in Clayton-le-Moors, Altham, and Rishton.
A police spokesman said: “A number of drivers will be receiving warning letters regarding their speed.
“A number of drivers and passengers were also seen without seatbelts, and will also receive warning letters,” he added.
