Praise for care work
HOSPITAL boss Eileen Fairhurst has thanked Burnley MP Gordon Birtwistle for helping secure the £9million needed to build the town’s new Urgent Care Centre.
The facility at Burnley General Hospital was given an official opening last month and Professor Fairhurst said: “I would like to thank everyone who has helped to make this ambitious project a reality, with a special thank you to Gordon Birtwistle, MP for Burnley who was instrumental in raising the necessary funding.”
