A PENSIONER benefits cheat who received cash to the tune of more than £11,000 he wasn't entitled to was given a four week curfew.

Burnley magistrates heard how Stanley Bradwell, 78, did not tell the authorities he was working as a cleaner.

The defendant, of Manchester Road, Nelson, admitted allegations of failing to notify the Department for Work and Pensions of a change in circumstances which he knew would affect his entitlement to Pension Credit, between September and December 2006 and October 2007 and August last year, at Nelson.

The court heard that he had no previous convictions.
