THE First World War commemorations continued in Hyndburn over the weekend with a day of nostalgia.
Staff at the Civic Arts Centre, in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, have been creating a lasting legacy made by the thousands of Pals who bravely fought for their country between 1914 and 1918 by hosting a fundraising event.
'Back In’t Day’ consisted of traditional music and games, poems, drama performances, and speeches.
Project manager Sophie Fitzpatrick said “The young people are looking to speak to anyone who knows anything about Oswaldtwistle during the First World War and any of the local Accrington Pals.”
