THE daughter of a Blackburn grandmother hoping to raise £56,000 for radical cancer therapy has given thanks to everyone involved in a recent fundraiser.
Kate Hargreaves, 32, has been helping her mum, Patricia Morris, with her Rare Eye Cancer Appeal after she was diagnosed in 2010.
Kate said: “I just want to thank Mill Hill Club for letting us have the room for free and being great hosts, ‘Charlie is Lady Gaga’ for a fantastic performance, everyone who donated to the raffle and Emma for dedicating her tarot card readings.
“I’d also like to thank my mum who has taken this on with the courage of a lion and a will to keep fighting. She is my inspiration to be positive when I feel scared.”
