NELSON Golf Club members have been digging deep into their pockets for the past 12 months in aid of the captain’s and lady captain’s charities.
The local branch of The Samaritans benefited to the tune of almost £2,000 thanks to the efforts of lady captain Penny Stanworth.
Mr Thornber presented his cheque for more than £2, 200 to the England and Wales Blind Golf Association.
