TWO fire engines from Burnley fire station attended a blaze in Whalley Street at 12.26pm on Monday.
The owner of the house dialled 999 after her oven caught fire while cooking.
She removed herself and her children from the property while she waited for the fire crews to arrive at the scene.
There was no damage caused apart from slight damage to the cooker.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze within 20 minutes.
