A RAMSBOTTOM church could be fully functioning again by September.
St Andrew’s, in Bolton Street, has asked architects Byrom Clarke Roberts to come up with suggestions to remodel part of the building’s interior after it was damaged by lightning last July.
Churchwarden Ian Ashworth said: “The kitchen, as it stands, is far from ideal, as are the toilet facilities.
“These are just rough ideas at the moment and we have asked for drawings to be prepared to see what people think.”
The improvements are estimated to cost around £35,000.
The lightning bolt hit one of four stone turrets on the church tower roof, showering the surrounding area with huge fragments.
