HASLINGDEN Community Link and Children's Centre has applied for planning permission to build two new canopies.
Andrew Walmsley, chief executive of the Bury Road-based organisation, said work was required to provide a covered route from its Sunflower and Bluebell rooms to outdoor play areas.
In a supporting statement, the centre said: “The centre wishes to improve the service they offer to meet current standards, and in response to comments received, by providing continuous provision that is distinct and open access for each age group served direct to outside play areas via a zone that offers some protection from inclement weather.”
