NEARLY £250 was raised for charity at a coffee morning.
The Rotary Club of Church and Oswaldtwistle raised £230 at a silent auction, held at a member’s home.
Mayor and Mayoress, councillors Judith Addison and Kathleen Pratt both attended, as did several Rotarians.
Light refreshments were provided and a raffle was also held.
Several other charity events have been planned for the future, including a fundraising evening at the Poplar Club, Accrington, and a ball at Accrington Town Hall, both next month.
An open meeting for prospective members will be held at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa in Clayton-le-Moors, at 12.15pm on November 25, and 6.45pm on December 2.
