SHAW Hill ladies golf team won a charity cup on their home fairways.
This year, the district charity cup competition was held at Shaw Hill, near Chorley.
The history of the competition dates back to before the war and currently involves eight golf clubs. Each club makes a donation to charity and the host club gets to choose the charity for the year.
The Shaw Hill team chose Chorley’s Derian House Children’s Hospice and £2,150 was raised by the players at the event.
The Shaw Hill ladies team took the field by storm taking all three trophies.
