STAFF and students at a Rawtenstall school donned bright pink clothes and accessories on Friday to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
The fundraising day at Alder Grange Community and Technology School was organised by year 11 student and opera singer Grace O’Malley for Petal Cancer Research.
Grace also organised for the High Sheriff of Lancashire, Ann Dean, to come to the school and talk at the Rawtenstall school’s assembly.
Mr Hampson, headteacher, said: “It was a sea of pink in assembly.”
