A COUPLE who each fought cancer and organised a fundraiser for the medics who helped them beat the disease have raised £2,200 for the cause.
Howard and Christine Warren, of Stanley Mount, Bacup, held a ‘onesie-themed’ family fun day at the town’s cricket club on Sunday and will be donating the proceeds to Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Mr Warren, 72, said: “We’re over the moon with how much was raised. We had artists on that played for nothing. We had raffles and auctions and fun fair rides for the children.”
