HASLINGDEN and Hyndburn MP Graham Jones has launched a new scheme aimed at getting young people into work.
Mr Jones said the scheme would provide young people with a work experience placement in a local firm in order to gain the experience needed to secure permanent work at a later date.
He said: “The future of Hyndburn and Haslingden is dependent on jobs and growth in the local economy and this scheme is part of that process.”
Mr Jones has written to local firms asking them to support the scheme, which is run in partnership with Accrington Job Centre Plus and the Federation of Small Businesses.
