A TALK on a shocking scandal which threatened to destroy the wealth and position of a prominent Blackburn businessman and one of the town’s first MPs will take place at Livesey Library today at 2pm.
Barbara Riding will lead the ‘Almshouses and Abductions’ event focusing on the life of William Turner who established a row of almshouses on Bank Top with his wife Jane. Admission is £1.
