FIREFIGHTERS were called to a kitchen fire in a first floor flat in Haslingden.
The female occupant in her early 20s was cooking on a grill pan when it caught fire at around 8pm on Monday.
The crew used dry powder to extinguish the flames and a ventilation unit to disperse the smoke.
