I would like to offer my sincere thanks to all the Meadowhead voters who turned out to support me at the recent election.

I enjoyed the opportunity to work on behalf of everyone in the ward over eight years and would have been happy to continue.

I do know that some who I might have counted as supporters felt it more important to register a protest against the current government but that, I accept, is politics.

My colleague, Konrad Tapp, who is now the lone Conservative in the ward, will continue to have my support.
