After the recent elections, I congratulate Harry Grayson on his well earnt victory in Rishton but wonder how he might improve the turn-out in the area.
It appears that it was not Labour that won the election, but the ‘Apathy’ party.
My wife and I always vote and have done for years but people over this side of the bridge feel that politics has very little to offer to their lives.
May I suggest a play area for small children would challenge that apathy on this side of Rishton.
It’s all very well having a clock and nicely tended gardens but something like a play area would affect the lives of so many grand-parents and mums and dads that you might see a direct result in the numbers of people registering their enthusiasm and returning to the ballot box.
