IN answer to the letter questioning the hysteria about the Titanic, there are some people alive now who lost relatives on the ship. I know, I spoke to some.

Only a few artefacts have been brought up and most have gone to museums to remind us that no ship is ‘unsinkable’.

Lessons have been learned and improvements made to seagoing vessels.

Our chosen charity on the ‘Balmoral’ was the mission to Seafarers which did so much for the widows and orphans of Titanic victims and still helps seaman and women today.

Incidentally, why the hysteria about the Pendle Witches? That happened 400 years ago.
