THE government recently announced they would not be implementing a 3p rise in tax duty on fuel, which was a good thing as they realised fuel is already expensive enough.
But I think they should have gone further and reduced the tax, as the price of fuel affects everything we buy in the shops.
This could have a punch-on effect on inflation which is much higher than the government would like.
So come on, Mr Cameron and Mr Clegg, announce a reduction in fuel duty and give all of us motorists an early Christmas present.
Thomas Fay, Darwen.
