My daughter has just completed a week long summer school with Pat Eakets Dance and Drama. The school was held at Salesbury Memorial Hall and was the most exciting thing that my daughter has done for a long time. She learnt a contemporary dance, a street dance, recited a poem and learnt circus skills, all in four days!
At the end of the week the pupils performed a show, which was fantastic. The dedication of the teachers Miss Beccy and Miss Nina was amazing, the children gained so much and grew in confidence.
Yuri and Tonya from Blackpool Circus School taught the children lots of new skills including spinning plates, Diablo, juggling and balancing, what a great thing to brag about to your mates.
It has saved me a fortune as I managed to avoid the cinema/zoo/play area and instead my daughter burnt off lots of energy and forgot about the telly!
Long may this summer school continue and well done Miss Beccy for organising it.
