Regarding the letters about hanging, which have appeared in your paper recently, I am all for capital punishment and I realise that there is always doubt about people’s innocence.

But when you are certain that a person has commit-ted a crime, like the Moors murderers, and all the others who are known to have committed crimes, why don’t they hang them and put the doubtful ones in prison?

I’m sure it would cut crime down. Anyway, it’s worth a try in this horrible, cruel world we live in.

Get rid of them, I say. Good riddance!
