I read about the young idiots being made to clean up the mess they made (LT, May 9) and agree that it might instill some sense into them not to do it again.
But this case should be taken one step further and the law should allow them to be named and shamed with photographs.
This way, they might be humiliated, knowing that their family and people around them will know what they have done.
There is too much pussyfooting about and keeping identities from the public. The law is far too soft.
Let’s get rid of some of this human rights farce which is a permit for them to hide behind.
Most get away with what they have done with a light sentence or a slap on the wrist.
