PRESIDENT Obama states that the world is now a safer place with Osama bin Laden dead. He is wrong. While many will rejoice at the demise of the ‘world’s most wanted terrorist’, his death may prove to be a catalyst for many of his followers to continue the war or jihad against the Western powers, possibly with even greater fervour.

The evil in this world is not diminished by the removal of one individual, no matter that he was perceived as evil-incarnate. This Hydra has many heads.

Rejoicing over the death of any human soul bound in sin goes against Scripture. Nevertheless, the Bible teaches that capital punishment must be administered for murder (Numbers 35:29-31).

Unfortunately, we see the consequences and the unnecessary suffering caused by not following God’s laws, every day, in the local and national media.
