LAST Saturday I rang Blackburn Transport to inquire if there were any buses from Darwen to Royal Blackburn Hospital on Sunday.
The gentleman said that unfortunately they don't run.
I said it was a shame that patients would miss having a visitor, as not everyone has transport.
The gentleman said that his partner would pick me up, take me up there and bring me back home.
I was amazed that a stranger could be so kind, for me to visit my 87-year-old brother and I would like to thank him and his partner for the gesture.
I wonder how long we will have to wait for a bus from Darwen?
