I FELT I had to reply to Mrs M Dickinson (Letters, December 9) who asked why soldiers should be classed as heroes. This is her opinion not mine. I have worked all my life, sometimes in dangerous jobs. I am not a hero: I did not have to dodge bullets or landmines or kill or be killed.
All our soldiers are heroes to me, and always will be. Thank God we have them, I am proud of every one of them and feel safer knowing we have men and women like them.
