THE proposed massive cuts in police manning levels made me wonder at the sanity of the politicians who seem hell-bent on giving the criminals and anti-social groups a free rein.
Britain is in the worst recession since the 1930s and if these cuts go ahead, crime will soar!
What next – MI5? Customs Officers? The threat of terrorism has not diminished, so why the cuts?
There only needs to be one major incident in any of our cities and all the savings the Government hope to make will have gone up with a bang, along with the lives of innocent people.
