On Saturday 19th June I went to Ramsbottom Cricket Club to watch Ramsbottom v Haslingden.
When I was being served at the bar, I was informed that only plastic glasses were allowed anywhere on the ground.
I pointed out that I was staying inside, but was told that made no difference.
I can understand perfectly the health and safety aspect, especially in view of the recent dispute at Haslingden Cricket Club with some Ramsbottom supporters.
What I cannot understand or tolerate is that other people were seen to be served with normal glasses in another part of the premises.
If these new rules are to be applied then they should apply to all, including the privileged few.
