I would like to make my disappointment and anger known to the local authority for its lack of enthusiasm at repairing the hump-back bridge at Hapton.

The bridge was partly destroyed on the night of the November 12, 2009 by someone who can only be described as a person who is not safe enough to drive a car.

The hole which was created makes the bridge a very unsafe place.

Temporary traffic lights were placed on the bridge and have been there ever since.

These lights do not work all the time and some people just disregard the lights, nearly causing accidents.

Last week, while on my way home from work, I approached the bridge to find the lights on green. Just before I reached the brow of the bridge, I had to slam on my brakes due to another car coming the other way.

How long is it going to take the correct authorities to do something about this? Is there going to have to be another serious accident? I hope not!
