I READ with dismay the story (February 27) about the attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl, by three men.
I am disgusted at the decision of the police not to prosecute someone if it's only a joke.' On the basis of this, every shoplifter, burglar or job could say I only committed the crime for a joke' and would escape prosecution.
How can they not be prosecuted when they clearly admitted it and two of the girl's friends said they physically grabbed the victim?
