I ABSOLUTELY agree with Chris Eggleston (Letters, March 17) on the dress code of councillors. I, too, was at a meeting in the town hall and noted a councillor in jeans.

So before the council start telling stallholders how to dress, perhaps they should put their own house in order first.

And the state of Blackburn moreso. The town centre is a shambles, what with scrap-iron so-called art, a nightmare road system and hotch potch of buildings.

The public should have a say in what they would like to see in their town. It should not be left to a chosen few who obviously don’t have a clue. Also we don’t want to see a continental-type market with live lobsters. Next we will be seeing next live hogs and geese as I myself have seen in some continental markets.
