Thank you to my brother’s neighbours on Willis Road, Cherry Tree, who kindly came to my rescue when I slipped and broke my ankle in two places.
They rang for the ambulance and came out of their houses with loads of old blankets to keep me warm. They also wrapped me in foil which was a great help.
Thanks also to everybody at Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospital for your concern.
Also thanks to a part-time ambulance crew, lady and man, who did a full-time job getting me and an older gentleman safely from Blackburn to Burnley, up to midnight.
JAMES HAWORTH, Percy Street, Blackburn.
