The leaves of autumn are beginning to fall and the Poppy is starting to bloom again. Yes Remembrance tide is again almost upon us.

It is that time of year when as a nation we remember all those who did not return and give thanks for those who did.

It is more poignant at the moment as we see on the TV our brave soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and those who return having paid the ultimate sacrifice.

For the last 88 years the Royal British Legion has been at the forefront helping all our ex-servicemen and women and their families in their hour of need. The Legion’s help is needed just as much now as it was 88 years ago. We need help to raise the vital funds to ensure we can continue to give this help to all who come to us in need. This year’s Poppy Appeal needs help, your help, more than ever before.

Can you spare just two hours to help? If you can, please call 01772-745839 and join the team. You will enjoy it. I look forward to your call.
