I SEE that Blackburn with Darwen Council has done it yet again.
First it was Blackburn's market hall, market clock and Thwaites Arcade.
Then it was TJ Hughes art deco building; the Lewis Textile Museum; and now it is the Victorian Infirmary and possibly the former social services headquarters in Jubilee Street (also an art deco building).
What has the council done?
It has destroyed the townspeople's heritage. And what will be next?
The old cotton exchange and even the old town hall?
Nothing would surprise me.
PETER REGAN, Exeter Street, Blackburn.
