I HAVE lived in Blackburn for over 77 years and only on about four or five times have I visited the Lewis Textile Museum.
A lot of people blasted Blackburn with Darwen Council for closing it, but I always thought it not a nice place to visit.
So I went to the new venue in the museum and art gallery to look at what they had done with the old looms and equipment.
What a surprise! A fantastic display with room to walk about, ideal for schools to visit.
Notices explain about the machines and the inventors, telling the story of the rise and fall of the cotton trade.
All those people who moaned about the closing of the Lewis museum should go and see this new exhibition.
The council and the staff of the museum should be proud.
