MANDY McGawley who was complaining (LT, March 24) about the loss of full local maternity services is quite right to do so.
The current Government has thrown money at the NHS but allowed the management to waste it whilst simultaneously removing vital services from local hospitals.
Mandy feels so strongly about this that she intends to start a petition aimed at getting a full maternity service provided at our new super-gigantic hospital for the people of Blackburn and Darwen.
I call on all who are concerned to support her and demand "Local Services for Local People" services in our locality and not in some other town miles away.
