Once again, politicians have shown their ‘disconnect’ between ordinary people and the mainstream parties.
Prominent MPs from both the Conservative and the Labour parties have been filmed offering their services for cash.
Even if they are ‘playing’ within the rules, it shows contempt for the way the public views politicians today. Have they no principles?
I want to bring a new type of politics to Warrington South, open and honest, where MPs are accountable to their constituents, one where they become an MP to serve and not to let greed control what they stand for.
I have pledged to only take an average working wage if I get elected and to spend as much time as possible in my constituency and not in the ‘Westminster village’.
Cllr Kevin Bennett, Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Warrington South (via email)
