I wonder why the walk- in centre at Accrington Victoria Hospital has overspent due to the increase in patient numbers (‘GP services Hyndburn under review’, LT, September 28).
Could this be anything to do with people being unable to get an appointment with their own GP within a week?
Is the minor injuries unit set to close? Are we all being forced to attend the great white elephant on the hills over Blackburn – the one with little or no staff?
Too many GPs have self interest at heart when making these decisions and therefore you have to question their suitability to run the CCG.
This is just another step towards privatising the NHS. The country is not that broke.
I would urge people to attend grill the health professionals. In truth, the GPs won’t be happy until you have to pay to see them.
