Why is it teachers can’t get to work in snow, yet nurses, doctors and other health workers manage?
Hospitals don’t close because of the snow. I live in Burnley and work in Blackburn and have never missed work because of the weather, and I live where you have to go up a steep hill to get to the main road.
If I miss work I have to take a day’s holiday. If I am late, I have to make the time up.
People see a flake of snow and it is an excuse not to go out of the door.
