A MOTHER is appealing for fundraising help to get her seriously-ill child to Disney.

Zachary Bland-Faina, who recently turned five, is dreaming of a once in a lifetime trip to the holiday resort in Paris.

The boy from Oswaldtwistle suffers from cerebral palsy and the rare virus, Cytomegalovirus, which has left him deaf and partially-sighted.

His mum Laura Bland has now launched an online fundraising page aiming to raise £10,000 to fund the holiday and the cost of insurance.

Zachary’s previous bid to get Disney hit a stumbling block with the estimated £6,000 insurance cost after gym owner Mickii Edwards had fundraised the money to pay for the holiday.

His family have now set up the online campaign to fund the money for the trip themselves.

Miss Bland said: “Fingers crossed if raise enough we can make his dream come true as he loves all the Disney characters.”

Zachary has also started recently school and is in reception at White Ash Primary School in Oswaldtwistle.
