THE Mayor of Hyndburn has appealed for support of his first charity event of the year.
Cllr Peter Britcliffe will be hosting a charity Indian Buffet night at Rena Tandoori in Oswaldtwistle on July 19.
His selected charities for the year will be Hyndburn Arts Limited, Hyndburn Stray Dogs in Need and Hyndburn Arthritis Care.
He will also be raising money for a number of additional smaller charities throughout the year.
Cllr Britcliffe said: “We’re hoping to make a great start to the mayoral charity year.
“These are all great causes.
“It would be fantastic to see as many people as possible come along and support the charities, anyone at all is welcome to attend.”
The event will take place at the Union Road venue from 7pm.
A raffle will also be taking place and guests are encouraged to bring additional prizes.
