THE Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle has issued warnings on parking for events at the venue after a number of complaints.
Staff have reminded people not to park on double yellow lines in Lord Street and Sun Street.
People have been encouraged to instead use the Rhyddings High School car park in Haworth Street in evenings, which is located one minute away and has free parking.
A spokesman for the centre said: “The double yellow lines are there for a reason, it is dangerous to park there, even if you are just dropping someone off.
“There are 80 spaces on Rhyddings High School car park which people are more than welcome to use.”
Cllr Judith Addison, who represents the area on Hyndburn Council, said she has received a number of complaints about parking at the site.
She said: “It’s a horrendous problem in the area.
“People are just parking inconsiderably.”
